6-O-(2-Deoxy-2-myristoylamino-6-O-myristoyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-2-deoxy-2-myristoylamino-3,4-di-O-myristoyl-D-glucopyranose (2) was prepared in a synthetic approach to lipid A which is the active center of bacterial endotoxin.
