The addition of N,N-dichlorourethane to α-bromostyrene in the presence of catalytic amounts of copper powder gave ethyl N-chloro-N-(2-chloro-2-bromo-2-phenylethyl)carbamate.When treated with an aqueous solution of sodium sulfite or thiosulfate, the produc
