Two new silver complexes have been synthesized, diaquatetra(3,5- dinitrobenzoato)-tetrasilver(I) (1) and polymeric (ethylenediaminesilver(I) di(3,5-dinitrobenzoato)silver(I) dihydrate) (2). These two complexes were characterized by elemental analyses and X-ray crystallographic technique. The crystal structure of (1) belongs to the monoclinic system with the space group P21/c, a = 5.685(11) A, b = 16.96(3) A, c = 19.67(4) A, α = 90.00°, β = 90.00(3)°, γ = 90.00°, U = 1897(6) A3, Z = 2, Dx = 1.544 g cm-3. The crystal structure of (2) belongs to the triclinic system with the space group P-1. a = 6.978(2) A, b = 12.919(5) A, c = 15.0291(5) A, α = 84.320(6)°, β = 76.810(5)°, γ = 79.612(6)°, U = 1295.2(8)3, Z = 2, Dx = 1.882 g cm-3.
