Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7791-03-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,7,9 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7791-03:
(6*7)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*3)=119
119 % 10 = 9
So 7791-03-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Specific Heat and Heat of Fusion of Lithium Perchlorate

Shmidt, N. E.,Golushina, L. N.,Sharpataya, G. A.,Lemeneva, D. G.

, p. 1620 - 1623 (2007/10/02)

The specific heat of lithium perchlorate has been measured in an adiabatic calorimeter at 298-600 K with a sample containing 99.8percent of the main component; the melting point (Tf = 520.7 K) and the heat of fusion (ΔHf = 20040 +/- 100 J mole-1) have also been determined. It is shown that 0.2-0.4percent of water is incorporated in the lithium perchlorate structure.
