"WBr(1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane)2NNCHO" is a complex organometallic compound, often referred to as a Wilkinson's catalyst analog. It consists of a tungsten (W) center, which is a transition metal known for its catalytic properties. The compound is characterized by its two 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane ligands, which are bidentate phosphine ligands that can chelate to the metal center, enhancing the stability and reactivity of the complex. The "NNCHO" part of the name suggests the presence of a Schiff base ligand, which is a type of ligand formed from the condensation of a primary amine and an aldehyde or ketone. This Schiff base ligand, along with the phosphine ligands, contributes to the overall electronic and steric properties of the complex, making it a potential catalyst for various chemical transformations, such as hydrogenation reactions. The compound's structure and composition make it a subject of interest in the field of homogeneous catalysis, where understanding the relationship between structure and reactivity is crucial for the development of efficient and selective catalysts.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 77945-95-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,7,9,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 77945-95:
(7*7)+(6*7)+(5*9)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*9)+(1*5)=190
190 % 10 = 0
So 77945-95-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of [W2(μ-N2CHN2) (dppe)4Br2]+[Cr(NH3) 2(NCS)4]-.1/3CH2Cl 2: A complex containing the bridging formazanido(3-) ligand

Colquhoun, Howard M.,Henrick, Kim

, p. 4074 - 4078 (2008/10/08)

The reaction between CHFBr2 and the dinitrogen-derived hydrazido(2-) complex [WBr(dppe)2N2H2]+Br-, in the presence of [Ph2I]+Br- and aqueous base, yields a cationic, binuclear complex [W2(μ-N2CHN2)(dppe)4Br 2]+. This complex has been isolated as its bromide, hexafluorophosphate, and Reineckate salts, and a single-crystal X-ray study of the latter confirms that the cation contains a formazanido(3-) ligand, [N2CHN2]3-, bridging two tungsten atoms in a seven-atom chain. Crystals of [[W2(μ-N2CHN2)(dppe)4Br 2]+[Cr(NH3)2(NCS)4] -.1/3CH2Cl2] are monoclinic, space group P21/n, with Z = 4, a = 19.089 (3) A?, b = 44.263 (4) A?, c = 13.807 (2) A?, β = 104.4 (1)°, and V = 11299.5 A?3. The structure was refined by blocked full-matrix least squares, with the phenyl rings treated as rigid bodies, to a final R value of 0.082 and Rw of 0.083 for the 5918 unique observed reflections [I > 3σ(I)].

Complex containing the Bridging Formazanido(3-) Ligand. Synthesis and X-Ray Crystal Structure of 2>+ - - * 1/3CH2Cl2

Colquhoun, Howard M.,Henrick, Kim

, p. 85 - 87 (2007/10/02)

The reaction between +Br- and CHFBr2, in the presence of +Br- and aqueous base, yields a cationic, dinuclear complex 2->+, which has been isolated as its bromide, hexafluorophosphate, and Reineckate salts; a single crystal X-ray study of the latter confirms that the cation contains a formazanido(3-) ligand , bridging two tungsten atoms in a fully conjugated, 7-atom chain.
