Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 78797-02-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,8,7,9 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 78797-02:
(7*7)+(6*8)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*2)=191
191 % 10 = 1
So 78797-02-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Allosteric deprogramming of a trinuclear heterometallic helicate

Riis-Johannessen,Harding, Lindsay P.,Jeffery, John. C.,Moon, Ryan,Rice, Craig R.

, p. 1577 - 1587 (2007)

Two multidentate ditopic ligands L1 and L2 which contain both N-donor and crown ether units have been synthesised. The potentially octadentate ligand L1 forms a trinuclear heterometallic double helicate with Cu(i) and Zn(ii) ([Zn2Cu(L1) 2]5+), whereas L2 forms a tetranuclear heterometallic double helicate with the same metal ions ([Zn2Cu 2(L2)2]6+). Both species have been characterised by 1H NMR, ESI-MS and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Reaction of [Zn2Cu2(L2) 2]6+ with Ba2+ results in the coordination of the crown ether units giving the simple barium coordinated species [Zn 2Cu2(L2)2Ba2] 10+. However, reaction of [Zn2Cu(L1) 2]5+ with Ba2+ deprograms the ligand and results in the formation of a mixture of species. The Royal Society of Chemistry.

N*-N*-S* Tridentate Ligand System as Potential Antitumor Agents

Antonini, Ippolito,Claudi, Francesco,Cristalli, Gloria,Franchetti, Palmarisa,Grifantini, Mario,Martelli, Sante

, p. 1181 - 1184 (2007/10/02)

Compounds containing an N*-N*-S* tridentate ligand were synthesized and tested for antitumor activity against P-388 lymphocytic leukemia in mice.Of these, only 2,2'-bipyridyl-6-carbothioamide (1a) showed antitumor activity
