Wei, Qian,Galoppini, Elena
, p. 8497 - 8508 (2004)
Three tripodal Ru(II)-polypyridyl complexes have been synthesized as models to study long-range electron transfer in TiO2 semiconductor nanoparticles thin films, in particular to study the effect of the conjugation of the bridge containing the

, p. 157 - 167 (2007/10/03)
{Co2(CO)6} groups were attached to p-diethynylbenzene-based acetylenes giving complexes of general formula [{Co2(CO)6}(μ2-η2:2-RC 2C6H4C2R′)] ((4): R=R′=H; (4a): R=SiMe3, R′=H; (4b): R=R′=SiMe3); [{Co2(CO)6}2(μ4-η 2:2:2:2-RC2C6H4C 2R′)] ((3): R=R′=H; (3a): R=SiMe3, R′=H; (3b): R=R′=SiMe3); [{Co2(CO)6}4(μ8-η 2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2-R2C6H4C 2C2C6H4C2R)]((5): R=H; (5b):R=SiMe3). The addition of Co4(CO)12 to p-diethynylbenzene and to 4 was also investigated, producing [{Co4(CO)8(μ-CO)2}(μ4-HC 2C6H4C2H)] (6) and [{Co2(CO)6}{(Co4(CO)8(μ-CO) 2}(μ8-HC2C6H4C 2H)] (7). The syntheses of the acetylenic derivatives of C60 [(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]hydrofullerene[60] (8a) and (phenylethynyl)hydrofullerene[60] (9) and the new ligand [(trimethylsilyl)diethynylbenzene]hydrofullerene[60] (10a) were performed and the resulting acetylenes were reacted with dicobaltoctacarbonyl giving the corresponding complexes [(trimethylsilyl)(dicobalthexacarbonyl)ethynyl]hydrofullerene[60] (11a), (phenylethynyl)(dicobalthexacarbonyl)hydrofullerene[60] (12) and [(trimethylsilyl)bis(dicobalthexacarbonyl)diethynylbenzene] (13a). The reaction of 1-bromo-3,5-diethynylbenzene and 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene with dicobaltoctacarbonyl resulted in the formation of [HC2{Co2(CO)6}]2C6H 2Br (16) and [HC2{Co2(CO)6}]2C6H 3 (15) as expected. Crystals of 3a, 3b, 4, 4b, 15 and 16 suitable for single-crystal X-ray diffraction were grown and the molecular structures of these compounds are discussed.
Acetylenic and Polyacetylenic Compounds Derived from Thiophene, Furan, and p-Dibromobenzene Using 1,1-Dichloro-2,2-difluoroethene
Okuhara, Kunio
, p. 2045 - 2052 (2007/10/02)
Compounds of the type AZCF=CCl2, prepared from AZA (thiophene, furan, and p-dibromobenzene; Z = 2,5-thiophenediyl, 2,5-furandiyl, and p-phenylene; A = H or Br), were converted into CCl2=CFZCCH, CCl2=CFZCCCF=CCl2, and CCl2=CFZCCSi(CH3)3 in a one-flask procedure via LiZCCLi.The products were further converted into acetylenic compounds such as (CH3)3SiCCZCCSi(CH3)3 and (CH3)3SiCCZCC-CCSi(CH3)3. 1-Ethynyl-4-(1,3-butadiynyl)benzene was izolated. 2,5-Diethynylthiophene and -furan were prepared in two steps from thiophene and furan, respectively, via CCl2=CFZCF=CCl2.By treatment with copper (II) acetate hydrate in pyridine, (CCl2=CFZCC-)2 were obtained not only from CCl2=CFZCCH but also from CCl2=CFZCCSi(CH3)3.
