The Configuration of Isomers of Methyl 4-O-Acetyl-2,3-O-(1-phenylethylidene)-α-L-rhamnopyranoside

The diastereomeric 2,3-O- of methyl-α-L-rhamnopyranosides were synthesised for the first time.The stereochemical characterisation was carried out by X-ray analysis.Evaluation of the X-ray data and comparison with NMR data indicated that the same configuration exists in the crystalline state as in solution. - Key words: Diastereomeric 2,3-O-, X-ray
