The chemical compound "UO2(C6H5NHCHC6H4O)2I2" is a complex organic-inorganic hybrid molecule. It features a central uranium(VI) oxide (UO2) core, which is coordinated by two bidentate ligands, each consisting of a phenyl group (C6H5), an imino group (NH), and a phenyl ring with a hydroxyl group (C6H4O). The molecule also contains two iodine atoms (I2), which are likely part of the coordination sphere or may be present as counterions, depending on the compound's overall charge. UO2(C6H5NHCHC6H4O)2I2 represents a class of organometallic compounds with potential applications in areas such as catalysis, materials science, and nuclear chemistry.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 80123-40-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,0,1,2 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 80123-40:
(7*8)+(6*0)+(5*1)+(4*2)+(3*3)+(2*4)+(1*0)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 80123-40-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Complexes of Dioxouranium(VI) with Zwitter-Ionic Forms of Bi- and Tetra-dentate Schiff Bases

Tajmir-Riahi, H. A.,Sarkheil, A.

, p. 1261 - 1270 (2007/10/02)

Potentially bi- and tetra-dentate Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde react with hydrated uranyl salts to give complexes: UO2H2LX2, UO2H2L'X2 and UO2(HL)2X2 .Because of marked spectral similarities with the structurally known Ca(H2L)(NO3)2, the Schiff bases are coordinated through the negatively charged phenolic oxygen atoms and not the nitrogen atoms of the azomethine groups which carry the protons transferred from phenolic groups on coordination.Halide, nitrate, perchlorate and thiocyanate groups are covalently bonded to the uranyl ion, resulting a 6-coordinated uranium ion in the halo and thiocyanato complexes and 8-coordinated in nitrato and perchlorato complexes. - Keywords: Complexes; Dioxouranium; Infra red; Schiff base complexes; Zwitter ion
