Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 80179-67-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,0,1,7 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 80179-67:
(7*8)+(6*0)+(5*1)+(4*7)+(3*9)+(2*6)+(1*7)=135
135 % 10 = 5
So 80179-67-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Nucleophilic replacement reaction of cyanamide/triethylamine at 1,2-dithiosquaric bis(dimethylamide) (6) leads to the corresponding cyanimine derivative 8 and the thiosquaraines 9 and 10.Sulfhydrolysis of 8 yields the novel sulfur containing delocalized "pseudooxocarbon" 22.Alkylation with methyl iodide gives 26 and, surprisingly, via intermolecular sulfur transfer dimethyl tetrathiosquarate (27).Spectroscopic data, especially those from 13C NMR spectra, are reported.
