(Rh(4,7-Ph2-phen)(cod)) is a rhodium-based organometallic complex, where Rh represents the rhodium metal, 4,7-Ph2-phen is a bidentate ligand derived from phenanthroline with two phenyl groups attached at the 4 and 7 positions, and cod stands for 1,5-cyclooctadiene, a diene ligand. This complex is of interest in homogeneous catalysis, particularly in the领域 of olefin metathesis and hydrogenation reactions, due to its ability to activate and transform various organic substrates. The combination of the rhodium center with the electron-rich phenanthroline ligand and the flexible cyclooctadiene ligand allows for a range of applications in organic synthesis, making it a valuable tool for chemists.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 80263-27-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,0,2,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 80263-27:
(7*8)+(6*0)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*2)+(1*7)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 80263-27-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Electrochemistry of N-heterocyclic complexes of rhodium(I) and iridium(I)

Fordyce,Pool,Crosby

, p. 1027 - 1030 (1982)

Cyclic voltammograms and EPR spectra of stable reduced species are reported for some complexes of the general formula [M(chel)(diene)]+: M = Rh(I), Ir(I); chel = 2,2′-bipyridine, 1,10-phenanthroline, 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipyrazine; diene = 1,5-cyclooctadiene, 2,5-norbornadiene. The complexes showed two reversible one-electron reductions in acetonitrile at a Pt wire electrode. EPR spectra of the one-electron-reduced species were typically singlets (ΔHpp ? 8 G) at a g value of 2.001. The data indicate that the redox orbital is ligand π*chel.
