Complexes of Ni(II), Pd(II), Co(II and III), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Hg(II) with o-hydroxyphenylthiohydrazide (o-hthH2) of the general formulae *nH2O (M = Ni(2+), Pd(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), Pb(2+) and Hg(2+), and n = 0 or 1), X2 (X = Cl(-), Br(-), NO3(-) and 1/2SO4(2-)), SO4, X3 (X = Cl(-) or NO3(-)), (X = Cl(-) or Br(-)), Ni(o-hth)*2H2O and (M = Cd(2+), Hg(2+)) have been prepared and characterised on the basis of UV, IR, electrical conductance and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
