Coordinated Thiazate Group: First Thiazate Complex

The reaction of NSCl(THF)x with Ir(CO)Cl(PPh3)2 and IrH(CO)(PPh3)3 gives thionitrosyl complex Ir(CO)(NS)Cl2(PPh3)2 while the reaction of (NSCl)(THF)x with Ir(CO)Cl(PPh3)2 in the presence of oxygen gives thiazate complex Ir(CO)(NSO)Cl2(PPh3)2.Both the complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, magnetic measurements, molecular weight determinations and conductivity measurements.
