N-bromo-N-sodiocarbamidate can be prepared by the reaction of N-bromo-N-carbamidate with sodium hydride. The salt, a white crystalline compound, decomposes above 140 deg C.It reacts with (CH3)3SnBr and (C6H5)3PbCl to give the new N-halogeno-N-metallo compounds C2H5OC(O)NBr-Sn(CH3)3 (dec. 104 deg C) and C2H5OC(O)NBr-Pb(C6H5)3 (dec. 126 deg C). - Key words: N-Bromo-N-sodiocarbamidate, Trimethylbromostannane, Triphenylchloroplumbane
