USE OF 2-(2-PYRIDYL)ETHYL GROUP AS A NEW PROTECTING GROUP OF INTERNUCLEOTIDIC PHOSPHATES IN OLIGONUCLEOTIDE SYNTHESIS
Takaku, Hiroshi,Hamamoto, Shoji,Watanabe, Testuo
, p. 699 - 702 (2007/10/02)
2-(2-Pyridyl)ethyl group is used as a highly selective protecting group of internucleotidic phosphates that is removable under mild conditions by treatment with CH3I in CH3CN without a side reaction such as N-alkylation.
METAL IONS AS SELECTIVE TRIGGERS FOR REMOVING OLIGODEOXYNUCLEOTIDE PHOSPHOTRIESTER PROTECTING GROUPS
Stabinsky, Y.,Sakata, R. T.,Caruthers, M. H.
, p. 275 - 278 (2007/10/02)
The o-bromophenyl group was successfully tested as a phosphotriester protecting group for internucleotide bonds. This protecting group can be readily and selectively removed using various transition metal salts in aqueous pyridine.
