A enantioselective total synthetic route to (+)-13-acteyl-12-hydroxy-podocarpane-8,11,13-triene-7-one la and (-)-13-acetyl-12-hydroxy-podocarpane-8,11,13-triene-7-one 1b from (S)-(-)-α-cyclocitral 8a and (R)-(+)-α-cyclocitral 8b was developed.
