The Claisen rearrangement was investigated in the series of N-2,7-octadienylanilines under the influence of aqueous solutions of organic acids (CF3CO2H, CH3CO2H).It leads to unsaturated ortho-substituted anilines with yields of not less than 60percent.The highest yields of the respective unsaturated anilines (60-80percent) were obtained with trifluoroacetic acid as catalyst.
