Owen, Gareth R.,Gould, P. Hugh,Hamilton, Alex,Tsoureas, Nikolaos
, p. 49 - 52 (2010)
The first structurally characterised zerovalent platinum complex to contain a tridentate pincer-type coordination mode (κ3-SBS) is presented, raising further questions concerning the geometries and trans influence of Z-type ligands. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2010.
Di- and zerovalent platinaboratranes: The first pentacoordinate d 10 platinum(O) complex
Crossley, Ian R.,Hill, Anthony F.
, p. 5656 - 5658 (2008/10/09)
The reaction of [PtCl2(PPh3)2 with Na[H-B(mt)3] (mt = methimazolyl) affords the platinaboratrane salt [PtH(PPh3){B(mt)3}]Cl(PtII→B), the first example of a metallaboratrane with the metal center in the +2 oxidation state. Base-induced dehydrochlorina-tion affords the first d 10metallaboratrane,[Pt(PPh3){B(mt)3}]-(Pt 0→B), based on an unprecedented pentacoordinate platinum(O) geometry.
