Synthesis of Optically Active Sulphilimines via Chiral Discrimination

Both vinyl and β-halogenoethyl sulphilimines can be obtained in optically active form via kinetic resolution in the elimination reaction of the latter promoted by chiral bases, with enantiomeric excesses of up to 73percent; the influence of the resolving agent and of the leaving group on the chiral discrimination has also been examined.
