Hydrogen bonding inetractions in [Zn(c8H5O 4)2 (C10H8N2) 2] were investigated using crystallographic analysis. It was observed that each ZnIi atom, having a distorted tetragonal geometry, was coordinated by two nitrogen atoms from 4,4′-bipy ligands. It was found that the compound had a one-dimensional double chain structure via hydrogen bonding interactions. The results show that ZnII atom has a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry.
