Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 817170-66-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,1,7,1,7 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 817170-66:
(8*8)+(7*1)+(6*7)+(5*1)+(4*7)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*6)=164
164 % 10 = 4
So 817170-66-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A selective, cell-permeable optical probe for hydrogen peroxide in living cells

Chang, Michelle C. Y.,Pralle, Arnd,Isacoff, Ehud Y.,Chang, Christopher J.

, p. 15392 - 15393 (2004)

We present the synthesis, properties, and biological applications of Peroxyfluor-1 (PF1), a new type of optical probe for intracellular imaging of hydrogen peroxide in living biological samples. PF1 utilizes a boronate deprotection mechanism to provide unprecedented selectivity and optical dynamic range for detecting H2O2 in aqueous solution over similar reactive oxygen species including superoxide, nitric oxide, tert-butyl hydroperoxide, and hydroxyl radical. We further demonstrate the value of this reagent for biological applications by imaging changes in [H2O2] in living mammalian cells. Copyright

Boronate ester cross-linked PVA hydrogels for the capture and H2O2-mediated release of active fluorophores

Williams, George T.,Sedgwick, Adam C.,Sen, Sajal,Gwynne, Lauren,Gardiner, Jordan E.,Brewster, James T.,Hiscock, Jennifer R.,James, Tony D.,Jenkins, A. Toby A.,Sessler, Jonathan L.

, p. 5516 - 5519 (2020/06/10)

A new set of PVA hydrogels were formed using the boronate ester fluorescent probe PF1 and the novel boronate fluorescent probe PT1 as the covalent crosslinkers. Treatment with aqueous H2O2 allowed triggered release of the fluorescent dye accompanied by complete dissolution of the hydrogel.

Pro-fluorescent probes

-

, (2014/08/06)

The present invention provides a novel class of pro-fluorescent probes for reactive oxygen species (ROS). One exemplary probe is mitochondria peroxy yellow 1 (MitoPY1), a new type of flurophore for imaging mitochondrial H2O2 in living cells with ROS and spatial specificity. The invention also provides methods of using pro-fluorescent probes to detect analytes. One exemplary method comprises using a pro-fluorescent probe of the invention to detect an explosive.
