Several new 4-(1,5-disubstituted-2-oxoindolinylideneimino)-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-Δ3-pyrazolin-5-ones (IIIa-c and IVa-c) have been synthesised and their structures assigned on the basis of analytical and spectral (IR, PMR) data.Their insecticidal, antibacterial and antifungal activities have also been studied.
