CF3SO2N=S=NSO2CF3 (1) reacts with (CH3)4Sn, (C6H5)4Sn, and the transition metal derivatives (CH3)2Hg, (C2H5)2Hg, and (C6H5)2Hg to form the 1:1 adducts 2a, b and 4a - c.However, with (C6H5)4Pb an addition to both double bonds was observed with formation of a four-membered ring 3.CH3SO2N=S=NSO2CH3 and 4-CH3C6H4SO2N=S=NSO2C6H4CH3-(4) react with (CH3)2Hg and (C6H5)2Hg to yield 5a - c.From CF3SO2N=S=O and (CH3)2Hg 4a results under elimination of SO2, while reation of CF3SO2N=SCL2 with (CH3)2Hg leads to substitution of the chlorine atoms to yield 6.CH3Mn(CO)5 reacts with 1 with elimination of CO to give 7.The compounds are cha racterized spectroscopically. The results are discussed in connection.
