O-Alkyl Thioates and Dithioates, 33. - Reactions of Phosphorus Ylides with Thiooxalates - A New Synthesis of α,β-Unsaturated O-Alkyl Thioates
Hartke, Klaus,Kumar, Arvind,Koester, Joachim
, p. 267 - 273 (2007/10/02)
The reaction of dimethyl tetrathiooxalate (1) with alkylidenetriphenylphosphoranes 2 leads to the formation of triphenylphosphane sulfide (3) and a complex mixture of unstable products; with the disubstituted phosphoranes 4a, b the 1,3-dithioles 5 and triphenylphosphane (6) were isolated.O,O-Dimethyl dithiooxalate (8) is transformed into α,β-unsaturated O-alkyl thioates 9 by thiocarbonyl olefination with 2 and 4.
Thiono and Dithio Esters, XXIX. Reactions of Diazo Compounds with Thiooxalates
Hartke, Klaus,Kumar, Arvind,Koester, Joachim,Henssen, Guenther,Kissel, Thomas,et al.
, p. 3096 - 3106 (2007/10/02)
Dimethyl tetrathiooxalate (I) reacts with all diazo compounds 2 investigated to form 1,3-dithioles 3 in high yield.Complex mixtures of products, however, are obtained from O,O-dimethyl dithiooxalate (6) and diazo compounds. The reactions of 6 with diazomethane, diazoethane, 2-diazopropane and diphenyldiazomethane were investigated more in detail.
