84011-15-4 Usage
General Description
2,2-Difluoroethyl trifluoromethyl ether, also known as HFE-347mcc3, is a fluorinated ether compound that is primarily used as a heat transfer and refrigerant fluid. It is a colorless, odorless liquid with low toxicity and high thermal stability. Due to its chemical properties, it is suitable for use in various applications such as metal cleaning, solvent deposition, and as a blowing agent in the production of polyurethane foam. It has a low global warming potential and ozone depletion potential, making it an environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional refrigerants and heat transfer fluids. Additionally, this chemical is non-flammable, non-conductive, and non-reactive, making it a safe and effective option for use in industrial and commercial processes.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 84011-15-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,4,0,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 84011-15:
(7*8)+(6*4)+(5*0)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*5)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 84011-15-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Relative Rate Constants for the Reactions of CF3OF with Olefins in Solution
Navarrini, W.,Russo, A.,Tortelli, V.
, p. 6441 - 6443 (2007/10/03)
The addition reactions of CF3OF to chloro fluoro olefins have been studied in solution at low temperature (-78, -105 deg C), and their relative rate constants have been determined using the kinetic approach of competition reactions. The reactivity and regio- and stereoselectivity are consistent with a free radical chain-propagating reaction in which the alkenes are attacked by the CF3O* radical generated by homolytic cleavage of the O-F bond in the CF3OF molecule.
