Reactions of 1,4-Pentadien-3-ones, 18. - Bromo Derivatives of 4-Oxo-1,2,6-triaryl-1-cyclohexanecarbonitriles and their Dehydrobromination Products

Structure and stereochemistry of various bromo derivatives of 4-oxo-1,2,6-triaryl-1-cyclohexenecarbonitriles 1, 9, and 13 are reported.Dehydrobromination of these derivatives yields cyclohexadienones.Some steric effects of these reactions are discussed.
