Depending on the conditions, 2-alkylthio-4-tert-butylphenols with epichlorohydrin give the glycidyl ethers of the 2-alkylthio-4-tert-butylphenol or the 1-chloro-3-(2-alkylthio-4-tert-butylphenoxy)-2-propanols.A series of amino alcohols were synthesized on the basis of the obtained chlorohydrins and were characterized.
