Optimum conditions were developed for the synthesis of 10 homologs of p-acyloxy-p'-nitroazoxybenzene.The mesomorphous characetristics of the compounds were investigated for the first time by thermal microscopy and DTA.A new type of polymorphism was found in the homologous series.
