Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 849116-18-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,4,9,1,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 849116-18:
(8*8)+(7*4)+(6*9)+(5*1)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*1)+(1*8)=183
183 % 10 = 3
So 849116-18-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

(Chemical Equation Presented) We herein report a new synthesis of 2-(hetero)aryl-substituted pyridines via heteroarylation of arenes/heteroarenes through AlCl3-induced C-C bond-forming reactions. 2-Halopyridines bearing an electron-withdrawing group were reacted with a number of (hetero)arenes to give 2-aryl/heteroaryl-substituted pyridines in good yields.
