Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 84919-11-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,4,9,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 84919-11:
(7*8)+(6*4)+(5*9)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*1)+(1*1)=159
159 % 10 = 9
So 84919-11-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of Some 3-Arylimino-5-(N-Methylanilino)-1,2,4-Δ4-Dithiazolines

Ali, Mohammad Ramzan,Verma, V. K.

, p. 1165 - 1167 (2007/10/02)

Some new 3-arylimino-5-(N-methylanilino)-1,2,4-Δ4-dithiazolines have been synthesised by the oxidative debenzylation and cyclisation of the corresponding 5-aryl-1,1-methylphenyl-2-S-benzyliso-4-thiobiurets.The characterisation of these compounds have been achieved by the direct oxidation of the corresponding 2,4-dithiobiurets and also by infrared spectra.
