85017-77-2 Usage
Chemical Properties
Red violet crystal.
Uses
Hygrometers, catalystsCobalt(II) bromide hydrate is mainly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, like C-metal, C-heteroatom and C-C bond formations, addition to unsaturated bonds, cyclizations, polymerization, oxidations reductions and carbonylations. It reacts with ammonia to form coordination compound bromopentaamminecobalt(III) bromide. It reacts with triphenylphosphine and form complexes of cobalt(II) bromide, which used as a catalyst in organic synthesis.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 85017-77-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,5,0,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 85017-77:
(7*8)+(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*7)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 85017-77-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
