850312-35-5 Usage
General Description
2,4-Dichloroaniline-[13C6] is a labeled form of 2,4-dichloroaniline, which is a chemical compound used primarily in the production of herbicides and fungicides. The [13C6] designation indicates that all six carbon atoms in the compound have been replaced with the stable isotope carbon-13. This labeled form of 2,4-dichloroaniline can be used as a reference standard in analytical chemistry, environmental testing, and biomedical research. It is also used in studies of chemical fate, transport, and metabolism in environmental and biological systems, making it a valuable tool for studying the behavior and fate of 2,4-dichloroaniline in the environment and in living organisms.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 850312-35-5 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,5,0,3,1 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 850312-35:
(8*8)+(7*5)+(6*0)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*5)=135
135 % 10 = 5
So 850312-35-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of [13C7]3,5-dichlorobenzylamine hydrochloride
Harwood, Simon J.
, p. 869 - 874 (2004)
Commercially available [13C6]aniline (2) was readily converted into [13C6]1-bromo-3,5-dichlorobenzene (5). A further stable label was introduced by cyanation of aryl bromide (5), using K13CN and cuprous iodide. Borane reduction of benzonitrile (6), followed by an acid work up, furnished [13C7]3,5- dichlorobenzylamine hydrochloride (1), which was further elaborated to provide an internal standard for use in LC-MS assays.
