Asymmetric total synthesis of rollicosin

(Chemical Equation Presented) The first total synthesis of rollicosin, a member of a rare subgroup of Annonaceous acetogenins containing two terminal γ-lactones, is reported. The approach features a highly reglo- and stereoselective tandem ring-closing/cr
