2-Hydroxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-11H-benzo[a]carbazole-3-carboxamide is used as a dyeing agent for cotton yarn, cotton fabric, polyvinyl alcohol, nylon, viscose, and silk. It has low affinity for cotton and medium coupling capability, making it suitable for dyeing applications in the textile industry. However, it is generally not used for printing.
