Metal complexes of the type, M(SB)2 have been prepared in ethanolic medium.The complexes are either insoluble or sparingly soluble in common organic solvents.The analytical data support the molecular formulae assigned to the complexes.Based on magnetic and spectroscopic data, tetrahedral stereochemistry for cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes and octahedral stereochemistry for copper(II) complex have been proposed.The spectroscopic parameters such as B, C, Dq, F2, F4, (-λ) have also been calculated for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes.
