The chemical compound "UO2(C6H5NHCHC6H4O)2(NO3)2" is a complex organic-inorganic hybrid compound. It features a central uranium atom (U) in the +6 oxidation state, which is bonded to two nitrate groups (NO3) and two bidentate ligands. The bidentate ligands are composed of a phenyl group (C6H5), an imino group (NH), and a substituted phenyl ring (C6H4O), where the oxygen atom is part of a hydroxyl group (OH). This structure suggests that the compound has a chelating effect, where the ligands form multiple bonds with the central metal ion, enhancing the stability of the complex. The compound is likely to be used in areas such as nuclear chemistry, where uranium compounds are of interest, and may have applications in the study of coordination chemistry due to its unique structure.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 86322-51-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,6,3,2 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 86322-51:
(7*8)+(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*2)+(2*5)+(1*1)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 86322-51-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Complexes of Dioxouranium(VI) with Zwitter-Ionic Forms of Bi- and Tetra-dentate Schiff Bases

Tajmir-Riahi, H. A.,Sarkheil, A.

, p. 1261 - 1270 (1981)

Potentially bi- and tetra-dentate Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde react with hydrated uranyl salts to give complexes: UO2H2LX2, UO2H2L'X2 and UO2(HL)2X2 .Because of marked spectral similarities with the structurally known Ca(H2L)(NO3)2, the Schiff bases are coordinated through the negatively charged phenolic oxygen atoms and not the nitrogen atoms of the azomethine groups which carry the protons transferred from phenolic groups on coordination.Halide, nitrate, perchlorate and thiocyanate groups are covalently bonded to the uranyl ion, resulting a 6-coordinated uranium ion in the halo and thiocyanato complexes and 8-coordinated in nitrato and perchlorato complexes. - Keywords: Complexes; Dioxouranium; Infra red; Schiff base complexes; Zwitter ion
