General Description
Magnesium maleate, dihydrate is a chemical compound that consists of magnesium ions and maleate ions in a 1:1 ratio, as well as two molecules of water. It is known for its use as a dietary supplement due to its high bioavailability and ability to support various bodily functions. Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in muscle function, nerve transmission, and energy production, while maleate is a salt of maleic acid that can act as a chelating agent and help improve the absorption of magnesium in the body. As a dihydrate, it contains two molecules of water per unit of magnesium maleate, which can impact its physical properties and solubility. Overall, magnesium maleate, dihydrate is a valuable compound with potential health benefits and applications in the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 869-06-7 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 8,6 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 869-06:
(5*8)+(4*6)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*6)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 869-06-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A method for preparation of magnesium-malic acid
-
Paragraph 0027, (2017/05/13)
The invention discloses a method for preparing magnesium malate. The method comprises the following steps: dissolving L-malic acid with deionized water, heating to 75-85 DEG C, adding magnesium carbonate or magnesium oxide step by step in batches, then heating to 105-120 DEG C, and stirring until magnesium carbonate or magnesium oxide is completely dissolved; decolorizing and filtering a reaction solution, carrying out concentration and crystallization on the filtrate at reduced pressure, and thus obtaining magnesium malate crystals. The rate of chelation of the magnesium malate prepared by the method is significantly increased, and the quality of the magnesium malate can be remarkably improved.
