Aflatoxin analogues as possible anticoagulants - I

Substituted-7a, 10a-dihydro-4-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2H-furo(3',2';4,5)furo(2,3-h) benzopyran-2,9(9H)-diones and related compounds which contain the carbon skeleton of aflatoxins, were synthesized. They exhibited medium anticoagulant activity at early stages.
