General Description
2-Pyrrolidin-2-yl-1H-imidazole, also known as Pimozide, is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of organic compounds known as imidazole-2,5-diones. It is a potent and selective antagonist of the D2 dopamine receptor and is used as an antipsychotic medication to treat schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. Pimozide works by blocking the action of dopamine, a neurotransmitter in the brain that is believed to play a role in the development of psychotic symptoms. It is also used off-label for the treatment of delusional disorder and to control the symptoms of Tourette syndrome. However, Pimozide can cause serious side effects, so it should only be used under the close supervision of a healthcare professional.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 871716-71-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,7,1,7,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 871716-71:
(8*8)+(7*7)+(6*1)+(5*7)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*7)+(1*1)=191
191 % 10 = 1
So 871716-71-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
