Uses
Used in Agriculture:
Haloxyfop-etotyl is used as a herbicide for the purpose of controlling grass weeds in a variety of crops. It is particularly effective in corn, soybean, and wheat fields, where it helps to manage the growth of unwanted grasses that can compete with the main crops for nutrients and space.
The selective nature of Haloxyfop-etotyl allows it to target specific grass weeds without causing significant harm to the crops it is intended to protect. This selective action is crucial in maintaining crop yields and quality while minimizing the impact on the environment and human health. To ensure the safety and effectiveness of this herbicide, it is essential to adhere to proper handling and application protocols as outlined in the product label instructions.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 87237-48-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,7,2,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 87237-48:
(7*8)+(6*7)+(5*2)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*8)=157
157 % 10 = 7
So 87237-48-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

experimental part, p. 833 - 836 (2012/05/04)
The one-pot reaction of halo-heterocycle, (R)-4-hydroxyphenoxy propionic acid and an alcohol, amine or sulfonamide is described as an efficient method for the synthesis of aryloxyphenoxy propionate hrerbicides by using 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine in the presence of (n-BU) 4NI, as a homogeneous catalyst under mild conditions. The present procedure offers several advantages, such as good yields, short reaction times and easy workup.
