The reaction of 2-β-hydroxyethylsemicarbazide derivatives with dicarboxylic acid anhydrides was investigated.In DMFA alkylene- and arylenedi form the products from addition at both amino groups.In methanol the products from addition both at one and at two amino groups are formed, depending on the structure of the initial reagents and on their ratio.
