Direct amidoalkylation of ketones
Ten Hoeve,Wynberg
, p. 899 - 906 (2007/10/02)
In a one-pot reaction aromatic aldehydes, urethane or acetamide and a variety of ketones condense in the presence of catalytic amounts of boron trifluoride or p-toluenesulfonic acid to furnish substituted carbamates or amides in good yield.
AMIDOALKYLATING PROPERTIES OF BENZYLIDENEURETHANE
Khenkina, T. V.,Mochalin, V. B.
, p. 1109 - 1111 (2007/10/02)
Benzylideneurethane is an active amidoalkylating agent with respect to a number of aromatic and aliphatic compounds. The reactivity of benzylideneurethane is close to that of the oxygen analog, viz., benzaldehyde.
