ROSE BENGAL DERIVATIVES AS SINGLET OXYGEN SENSITIZERS
Lamberts, J. J. M.,Neckers, D. C.
, p. 2183 - 2190 (2007/10/02)
Derivatives of Rose Bengal are reported and the relationships between subtle structural and dramatic changes in photophysical properties pointed out.
Rose Bengal and Non-Polar Derivatives: The Birth of Dye Sensitizers for Photooxidation
Lamberts, Joseph J. M.,Neckers, D. C.
, p. 474 - 484 (2007/10/02)
The synthesis of a new rose bengal derivative, 6-O-acetyl rose bengal ethyl ester is reported. The spectral properties of various new rose bengal derivatives are discussed in relation to their structures and compared with results found for the other fluorescein dyes in the literature.A concise historical review of the chemistry of fluorescein dyes and of their current applications is given. - Key words: Rose Bengal Derivatives, Photoxidation
Novel Rose Bengal Derivatives: Synthesis and Quantum Yield Studies
Lamberts, Joseph J. M.,Schumacher, Douglas R.,Neckers, D. C.
, p. 5879 - 5883 (2007/10/02)
The synthesis of several rose bengal derivatives soluble in nonpolar solvents is described. The bis(triethylammonium salt) of rose bengal, 2, and the triethylammonium salt of the benzyl and ethyl esters of rose bengal, 10 and 11, are soluble in methylene c
