An improved procedure for preparing bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethyl) ethers of oligoethelene glycols of the general formula Ph2P(O)CH2O(CH2CH2O)nCH 2P(O)Ph2 (n = 0-6) is developed, and the stability constants of their alkali cation complexes in the THF-CHCl3 system at 25°C were determined by conductometry.
