Complexes of the type A-A)2> where M = Cu(II), Pd(II), and A-A = phthalanilic, 4-methyl phthalanilic and 4-nitrophthalanilic acids (deprotonated), A-A)2(H2O)2> where M = Co(II), Ni(II) and NaA-A)2(OH)2> have been prepared and characterised on the basis of I.R., electronic spectra, conductance and magnetic measurements.Moessbauer studies of Fe(III) complexes have also been made.The complexes of Cu(II) and Pd(II) are square planer while others of octahedral structure.
