6-Amino-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-ones 3 are prepared by reaction of thioxamidates 1 with amidrazones 2.Reaction of 3 with phosphorus pentasulfide affords the 6-amino-1,2,4-triazine-5(2H)-thiones 4.Some reactions of these compounds are described.
