Synthesis and Structure of Sulphur Derivatives of a Methylenephosphine
Caira, Mino,Neilson, Robert H.,Watson, William H.,Wisian-Neilson, Patty,Xie, Ze-Min
, p. 698 - 699 (2007/10/02)
The methylenephosphine MesP=C(SiMe3)2 is smoothly oxidized by elemental sulphur to the 3-membered ring system Mes-cyclo(SiMe3)2, (3), which, upon treatment with Bun3P, is converted into the 3-co-ordinate phosphorane MesP(=S)=C(SiMe3)2, (2); the nearly isostructural nature of compounds (2) and (3) is confirmed by their X-ray crystallographic analyses.
SYNTHESIS AND REACTIVITY OF SILYLATED PHOSPHORUS COMPOUNDS
Neilson, Robert H.
, p. 43 - 46 (2007/10/02)
The preparative and derivative chemistry of several silylated (methylene)phosphines including (Me3Si)2NP=CHSiMe3, MesP=C(SiMe3)2, and a stable 1-phosphadiene system is reported.
