9003-70-7 Usage
Chemical Properties
solid, often supplied as small beads
Uses
Poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) is used in chromatographic separation medium. It is also used for the removal of phenolic inhibitors: hydroquinone, hydroquinone monomethyl ether and tert-butylcatechol. It is widely used as column packing material in liquid chromatography for separation of both organic and inorganic ions. Styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer is used in inorganic trace analysis for solid phase extraction preconcentration.
General Description
Amberlite XAD-2, a hydrophobic copolymer of styrene-divinylbenzene resin which requires longer purification process and is used as a sorbent. Amberlite XAD-2 resin depending upon the aromaticity and size of the hydrophobic groups sorbs organic compounds through low-energy physical interactions.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 9003-70-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,0 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 9003-70:
(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*0)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*0)=77
77 % 10 = 7
So 9003-70-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
