9005-98-5 Usage
General Description
Nitrile rubber, also known as NBR, Buna-N, and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber, is a synthetic rubber copolymer derived from acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene. It has excellent resistance to oils, fuels, and many other chemicals, enhancing its use in the automotive and aeronautical industries for fuel and oil handling hoses, seals, and grommets. Its chemical properties also allow it to be resistant to heat, oxidation, abrasion, and aging, making it ideal for high-stress environments. However, it is not recommended for exposure to weathering and ozone. It is available in different grades, depending on the acrylonitrile content.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 9005-98-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 8 respectively.
