A series of thioacylhydrazones of monocarbonyl compounds, which included the first representatives of previously unkonwn thioformyl- and thioacetyl-hydrazones, were synthesized.The effect of the structure on the position of the thioacylhydrazone-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazole ring-chain tautomeric equilibrium was studied by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy with the use of data for model compounds.In polar aprotic solvents a certain amount of the betaine tautomer appears in the equilibrium in individual cases in addition to the hydrazone and thiadiazoline forms.
